چکیده
Most of the industrial processes are basically Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) system. In this paper a new combination of Spherical Conical Interacting Tank System (SCITS) which is a variable area nonlinear MIMO system is considered for study and various control algorithms based on Ziegler Nichol’s tuning method, Hagglund Astrom Robust tuning method, Fractional Order (FO) control and Passivity Based Control (PBC) are used and compared for the level control of spherical tank system and conical tank system connected with interaction. Transfer function matrix of the system is obtained experimentally from the open loop response of the system. The designed controllers are tested for servo and regulatory operations. The controllers are compared in terms of time domain specification and performance index criterion. From the analysis of the simulation results, it is seen that FO controller gives improved performance when compared to conventional Integer Order (IO) controller and overall Passivity Based Controller (PBCr) gives improved performance comparatively for spherical conical interacting MIMO system. A Variable Structure Observer Based Control Design for a Class of Large scale MIMO Nonlinear Systems
This paper fully discusses how to design an observer based decentralized fuzzy adaptive controller for a class of large scale multivariable non-canonical nonlinear systems with unknown functions of subsystems’ states. On-line tuning mechanisms to adjust both the parameters of the direct adaptive controller and observer that guarantee the ultimately boundedness of both the tracking error and tha...
متن کاملSoft Switching MBC Controller for MIMO Linear Hybrid Systems
Switching supervisory is the most important section of a feedback control process inMIMO hybrid systems. By choosing a non-compatible controller, system may go tounstable mode or high overshoot response. In this paper, a new method of switchingfor selecting MBC controllers is discussed. Results of the simulation show the MIMO(2-in 2-out) linear hybrid system can be switched stable and low overs...
متن کاملIdentification and Control of MIMO Systems with State Time Delay (Short Communication)
Time-delay identification is one of the most important parameters in designing controllers. In the cases where the number of inputs and outputs in a system are more than one, this identification is of great concern. In this paper, a novel autocorrelation-based scheme for the state variable time-delay identification for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system has been presented. This method is ba...
متن کاملOffline Auto-Tuning of a PID Controller Using Extended Classifier System (XCS) Algorithm
Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) controllers are widely used in engineering applications such that more than half of the industrial controllers are PID controllers. There are many methods for tuning the PID parameters in the literature. In this paper an intelligent technique based on eXtended Classifier System (XCS) is presented to tune the PID controller parameters. The PID controlle...
متن کاملAdaptive Leader-Following and Leaderless Consensus of a Class of Nonlinear Systems Using Neural Networks
This paper deals with leader-following and leaderless consensus problems of high-order multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) multi-agent systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics in the presence of uncertain external disturbances. The agents may have different dynamics and communicate together under a directed graph. A distributed adaptive method is designed for both cases. The structures of the contro...
